Scope

ICIFMS-15 will provide a forum for international scientists to present and discuss new results and ideas concerning the fundamentals and applications of  elasticity, microplasticity and, particularly,  anelasticity and damping  of  all kind of solid materials. This symposium should help  the progress of materials science and thus aid in future worldwide technological advances concerning energy,  environment etc. The official language of the conference is English.

Topics

The topics of the conference cover all the aspects of mechanical energy dissipation and related applications as well as elastic, anelastic and microplastic behaviour of solids in any state of aggregation  and structural state. Fundamental and application-oriented aspects will be given equal attention. All possible dissipative mechanisms  will be treated both experimentally and theoretically. These include effects in:

1.      Crystalline solids

·        Point defects

- Intrinsic

- Impurity .

·        Extended defects

- Dislocations

- Grain boundaries

- Twin boundaries

- Interfaces

·        Interacting defects

- Point defect-point defect

- Dislocation-Point defect

- Twin- and grain boundary-point defect

·        Phase transformations

- Electric

- Magnetic

- Structural

2.      Quasi crystalline solids

3.      Amorphous solids

- Glasses.

- Polymers.
